One killed, 30 goats stolen in Kurnool district
Kurnool: A 50-years-old shepherd was killed by some unidentified persons and took away his 30 goats. The incident has taken place at Surya Thanda in Thuggali mandal of Pathikonda constituency. Actually, the incident has taken place on Thursday night but came to light on Friday morning.
As per the information was given by the Circle Inspector of Pathikonda, R Soma Sekhar Reddy, the deceased who has been identified as Ramulu Naik was a resident of Surya Thanda in Thuggali mandal. On Thursday morning he has taken his sheep and goats for grazing to a nearby hillock. He is known to be taking rest near Bodabanda temple while the goats and sheep were grazing. Taking the advantage, some unidentified persons attacked on Ramulu Naik and killed him later fled the scene with 30 goats, said the Inspector.
The family members of not finding Ramulu Naik did not return home despite odd hours on Thursday taking the help of villagers began to search his whereabouts at the surrounding areas. With the efforts did not reap any result dropped the search operation for the time being but continued since early in the morning on Friday. At last, they succeeded to detect the deceased who is lying in a pool of blood near Bodabanda temple. Aghast with the unexpected situation they immediately called the Thuggali police.
We rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Pathikonda hospital for autopsy. Clues team and dog squad were pressed into the filed to track the information of the accused, added the officer.
However, we have filed a case basing on the complaint lodged by the family members. A team has been formed to nab the absconding accused. The facts behind killing Ramulu Naik will come to fore after a thorough investigation. The deceased was survived with wife and three children, said Soma Sekhar Reddy.
