Ongole: Advances in mathematics help other scientific industries

Ongole: The technological advances in the mathematics help in the growth of other scientific industries, said Prof N Bhaskar Reddy, retired professor in Sri Venkateswara University, at the national conference held in Ongole on Thursday.

The Department of Mathematics in Acharya Nagarjuna University PG Campus at Ongole organized a two-day national conference on 'Recent Advances in Mathematics and Its Industrial Applications'.

The convener Dr M Gnaneswara Reddy introduced the theme of the national conference being held. In his keynote address, Prof Bhaskar Reddy said that the research advancement in mathematics helps the science and technology field in crucial moments.

He explained the use of mathematical principles being used primarily at various engineering and industrial fields, with examples to the participants. Dr BJ Gireesha from Kuvempu University in Karnataka opined that mathematics is a universal language.

Dr T Rajasekhar from IIT Kharagpur advised the students and researchers to consult their guides for future plans while Dr BC Prasanna Kumara from Dawanagere University in Karnataka advised them to follow the latest developments.

The ANU Ongole campus special officer Dr B Krishna, Andhra Kesari Tanguturi Prakasam University officer on special duty Dr KVN Raju, Dr Prakash and about 50 students and researchers from various places participated in the program.
