Ongole: Banks should support RUDSETI trainees

Ongole: The district-level Rural Development and Self-Employment Training Institute Advisory Committee (DLRAC) meeting was held in Ongole on Friday. The Canara Bank chief regional manager and chairman of DLRAC Tadi Ramakrishna, lead district chief manager and deputy chairman of DLRAC K Yugandhar Reddy participated as chief guests while the Rural Development and Self-Employment Training (RUDSETI) director G Suryanarayana Murthy, NABARD DDM V Venkata Ramana, regional manager of Union Bank of India Ganesh, DRDA PD J Elisha, DIC General Manager G Chandrasekhar, APGB regional manager G Mastanaiah, employment exchange officer S Indira Devi, APSSDC district manager Lokanatham, BC Corporation ED Nagamuni, and others also participated in the meeting.

The institute director GS Murthy explained about the training programmes being offered in the centre and explained about the future agenda to the members. The chairman Ramakrishna opined that it is only after the lockdown they could train the unemployed youth so that they could enjoy a good income. Ganesh advised the institute to maintain physical distance as per the government instructions in future training and opined that the banks should cooperate to provide loans to the RUDSETI trainees. Yugandhar Reddy appreciated the director and staff for providing best training so that 74 percent of trainees from 2019-20 year are settled. The members advised the institute management to follow precautions throughout this year but see the unemployed youth in the district are trained well and settled in life.

The institute management and DLRAC members felicitated the PDCC Bank CEO Sivakoteswara Rao for providing 155 trainees from the RUDSETI this year.
