Ongole: Children hardly understand parents' love when they are alive, feels Minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy
Ongole: The children cannot understand the importance of their parents and their love, until they leave for the heavenly abode, opined Minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy.
He participated as the chief guest and inaugurated the Balineni Venkateswara Reddy and Ramadevi Memorial Cricket tournament at the ABM College ground here on Sunday.
Srinivasa Reddy confessed that he did not pay much attention to the advice of his father might be just because his father showered unending love towards him and he did not understand the importance of the advice from the experienced man. He said the audience that the children do not respect the parents and try to understand them when they are around, but when they leave the world, nothing will bring back them. The minister said that the death of his father was a great loss to him and the pain of losing him is still with him.
He thanked the organising committee members Pasupuleti Edukondalu, Arigela Srinivasa Rao, Yangalasetty Sai Krishna, Kakumanu Suneel, Sk Munna, and Sk Sadik for conducting the tournament and assured all support to the event. The organisers announced that they are conducting two matches per day in the knockout model. The first prize of Rs 1 lakh, second prize of Rs 75,000, third prize of Rs 50,000, the man of the series prize of Rs 10,000, the best batsman, best bowler and best fielder prizes of Rs 5,000 along with the shields through the hands of youth leader Balineni Praneeth Reddy. They also announced that they would present the man of the match awards also to the best players.
Ongole MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, Santhanuthalapadu MLA TJR Sudhakar Babu, Chirala former MLA Amanchi Krishna Mohan, Addanki YSRCP in-charge Bachina Krishna Chaitanya, and others also participated in the programme.
