Ongole: Cops rescue 4 minor girls within hours of missing
Ongole: The Prakasam police rescued four minor girls within hours of their missing from home in Podili town of the district. On November 13, four teenage girls of Muslim community went missing from their houses at Padamatipalem, Podili. The girl has been attending online classes from their houses. Their parents admonished the them for spending more time on mobile phone and disheartened by daunting of parents, the four schoolgirls left Podili town without informing their parents.
A case in Cr No 246/2020 has been registered in Podili PS and the police swung into the action immediately. Superintendent of Police Siddharth Kaushal alerted all police officers and passed suitable instructions to trace the missing girls. The command control centre, Ongole alerted all police stations in the district and vehicle checking was taken up in all neighbouring police stations and borders. High-end technology was used to track the movements of missing girls and they were finally located in Vinukonda town.
SDPO, Darsi K Prakash Rao sent SIs to Podili and Kurichedu to get the missing girls. Finally, the girls were brought back to Podili and were handed over to parents after proper counselling.
Technical assistant (TA) of Podili PS Bharath Kumar has shown brilliant skills by using latest technology in tracking the movements of girls with the help of tracking tools. The Superintendent of Police appreciated the Podili police officers for tracing the missing girls within four hours of occurrence. TA Bharth Kumar underwent 15 days training recently in technology adoption centre, Ongole which is a part of prestigious project TATA taken up by Siddharth Kaushal, for making every constable of the district as a future ready and techno savvy citizen.
