Ongole: India is interested in welfare, but not warfare says Purandheswari
Ongole: The Bharatiya Janatha Party Mahila Morcha national convener Daggubati Purandheswari said that the Atma Nirbhar Bharath package announced by the union government is to make the country as self-sufficient, as India is interested in welfare but not in warfare.
Purandheswari conducted a press meet in their party office in Ongole through the video conference and said that the public should be accustomed to the post-Corona changes in lifestyle and use technology more in the future. Explaining about the Atma Nirbhar Bharath package, the prime minister Narendra Modi believed that the lives of the public are more important than the financial benefits. She said that the decisions taken by Modi during lockdown are applauded by the other countries in the world and increased respect for India in the global arena.
She said that BJP believes that the stimulus package announced by the union government is a right of the public. She said that the MSME is the sector that provides most employment just after the agriculture sector. She explained that as part of this package, the government is providing Rs 3 lakh crores as collateral-free loans, which can be utilized by 45lakh MSMEs. She said that the MSMEs which are performing well could get booster loans from Rs 50000 crores, while the 2 lakh MSMEs which are facing troubles would get relief package from Rs 20000 crore.
She explained that the government is providing Rs 163343 crores to the agriculture sector to save the farmers. She said that Rs 1lakh crores from the package would be used to provide farm gate infrastructure like cold storages, godowns, market yards, roads, etc. The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampad Yojana has introduced with Rs 20000 crore while Rs 10000 crore is allocated for food processing units for their marketing and branding requirements, she informed.
She said that the government is planning to encourage medicinal plants in 10lakh hectares with Rs 4000 crore in the coming two years while providing a 50 percent subsidy to store the agriculture product in cold storages. She informed that 300 crore workdays increased in the NREGA scheme by allocating Rs 40000 crore to provide a livelihood to the migrant labor who are reaching their native villages.
