Ongole: International Yoga Day celebrated
Ongole: The Prakasam district unit of Indian Red Cross Society celebrated International Yoga Day on Sunday by organizing the training programme in Ongole. The art of living trainers Jagan Mohan and Bhaskar trained about 425 participants on Sudarsana Kriya and Surya Namaskar through online by using five Zoom accounts from 6 am. The IRCS district chairman Prakash Babu, vice-chairman CV Reddy, treasurer Raghava, members Narasimha Rao, Prasanna Raju, Iqbal, and others also participated.
In another programme, the Nehru Yuva Kendra celebrated the International Yoga Day at the Municipal High School. The headmaster N Ramarao, teachers and trainers D Veeranjaneyulu, G Haribabu, M Manohar Rao, K Srinivasa Rao, M Nagaraju, Nehru Yuva Kendra superintendent Madhusudan and NSS volunteers also participated in the program. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, about 34 NSS volunteers also virtually participated in the program from their homes, said the Nehru Yuva Kendra.
The Lions Club of Ongole Citizens also celebrated the International Yoga Day in Online mode. The club president Shaik Nyamatulla Basha, yoga trainer Ismail conducted yoga training through the Zoom app. Nyamatlla said that practicing yoga every day will help in boosting immunity and fight the virus in the body. He announced that the online training from Ismail will continue every day from 6 am in the future also. The Lion's district governor Vijay Kumar Reddy has appreciated Nyamatulla for celebrating the yoga day online.
