Ongole: Police form QRT to prevent dangerous Coronavirus and its spread, announced the additional SP B Sarath Babu

Ongole: Following the orders of SP Siddharth Kaushal, the Prakasam district police formed a Quick Response Team (QRT) with 24 special party police to prevent dangerous Coronavirus and its spread, announced the additional SP B Sarath Babu.

He conducted a meeting with the QRT at the Galaxy Complex Meeting Hall on Wednesday to explain the roles and responsibilities of the members.

Sarath Babu explained that the coronavirus has spread into 152 countries around the world and it is time we require to take all necessary measures to prevent the disease spread. He said that keeping surroundings very clean, washing hands with soap or sanitisers often, and avoiding roaming in crowded areas, postponing or avoiding distant traveling, wearing masks covering mouth and nose and avoiding shake hands or embracing with others.

The Addl SP announced that the preventive programme will run with the mutual cooperation and coordination of the district police and the district medical and health officials. He said that the police department also established a 24x7 help desk in the district police control room so that the public can inform any information regarding coronavirus suspects by calling police helpline number 9121102109 or Dial 100 and district medical and health department help desk number 7729803162.

DSPs G Ramakrishna, A Prasad Kumar, SB Inspectors TVV Pratap Kumar, N Srikanth Babu, Inspector M Srinivasa Rao, Reserve Inspectors, district medical and health officers and other staff also participated in the meeting.
