Ongole: Ramesh Sanghamitra Hospital installs modern MRI machine

Ongole: MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy inaugurated the upgraded MRI Scan machine, the GE Signa 1.5T MRI Scanner at Ramesh Sanghamitra Hospital in the presence of the MD of Dr Ramesh Hospitals Dr P Ramesh, MD of Ramesh Sanghamitra Hospital Dr. D Tirumala Reddy, chairman D Pattabhirami Reddy and other hospital officials in Ongole on Thursday.

Dr Tirumala Reddy explained that they had upgraded the existing equipment to meet the demands of the modern-day and announced that the installed machine is the first MRI scanner in the district that could do cardiac, brain and spine scans. He said that the machine could also perform scans like pelvis, abdominal, gastroenterology, cancers, paediatric, neonatal with high-quality imaging. He said that they have decided to offer the services on the scanner for a low price compared to the others in the district for the benefit of the public.

Dr Ramesh appreciated that Sanghamitra Hospital, which was started as the first super speciality hospital in Ongole, continues to provide round the clock service to the patients. He said that they need to procure the latest equipment and replace the old, as the technology is changing rapidly and to provide the best service to maximum people. He explained that the equipment coming with the new machines could verify the compatibility of implants, image body parts under the implants and also helps in making a decision about the invasive techniques in the surgeries. He said that the specialists in the hospital are well trained in systematic perfection with upgraded knowledge on the technology and equipment. He wished that the Ramesh Sanghamitra would become the destination hospital for the people in the district.

MP Srinivasulu Reddy said that the people from the district used to go to Nellore, Chennai, Vijayawada or Guntur for any super speciality or emergency treatment, but the Ramesh Sanghamitra hospital was providing services locally. He appreciated the hospital management for the commitment towards better services to the public. The group COO Potluri Gopi Krishna, IMA former state president Dr Nagalla Kishore, Dr Machiraju Ramachandra Rao and others also participated in the program.
