Ongole: Scribes condemn attacks on reporters in Delhi

Ongole: The journalists from various unions and federations condemned the attacks on reporters and cameramen while covering the unrest in Delhi and demanded that the Delhi and Union governments offer free medical treatment to the injured journalists.

In the protest demonstration organised in front of the district Collectorate on Monday, the APWJF district president Gottipati Nageswara Rao presided over while the district general secretary SV Brahmam said that the freedom of the press is being restricted and the attacks on journalists are increasing day by day.

He opined that the miscreants wontedly targeted the journalists covering the unrest and demanded that the government bring them to justice immediately.

The journalists including the APFF secretary Pirla Rajesh, APEJU founder president Mekapati Malyadri, APWJF district treasurer L Raju, committee member P Ankaraju, P Vijay Bhaskar Reddy, Ch Ashok, N Kashi Rao, Y Srinivas and others also participated in the programme.
