Pals Plush India to expand operations
Tirupati: In its pursuit to cash in on the increasing overseas demand, Pals Plush India, the subsidiary of a Chinese company, broke the ground for an additional plant in Sri City on Friday.
In a ceremony marking the start of construction of the new facility, Ajay Sinha, Managing Director of the company performed the bhoomi pooja along with the MD of Sri City Ravindra Sannareddy, Seema Nehra, Director, Pals Plush India and a host of other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Seema Nehra said, "Having a set up in Sri City for the past seven years, we have enjoyed the best of services and support, which in turn has given us the confidence to expand our Plush Toys manufacturing to a new level. We see this growth to be accelerating at a promising pace and in the coming years, we see adding up more capacities in phases".
With the plant expansion the total annual production capacity will reach seven million toys. The company shall be employing about 600 rural women into the new expansion set up, she said. Pals Plush will build the new plant on a 3.5-acre plot and it is expected to be ready within 10 months.
Complimenting the Pals Plush team for expanding their production unit, Ravindra Sannareddy said that Pals Plush is the very first Chinese company in Sri City, and expansions of this kind testify the investor-friendly ecosystem that has already been built in Sri City.
