Parties told to submit campaign expenditure details

Narsapuram: Narsapuram parliamentary constituency central election expenditure observer Sanjit Kumar Das has asked the leaders of political parties to submit details of star campaign election expenditure.He convened a meeting with representatives of political parties and assistant expenditure observers at Sub-Collector's office here on Friday.

Addressing the meeting, Das sought cooperation of political parties to conduct elections peacefully. The star campaign expenditure details should be submitted to the returning officers in a transparent manner. He requested the contestants to provide exact details of expenditure as the poll surveillance staff would register the expenditure in shadow register which would be sent to Election Commission after comparing with the details provided by the contestants.

He said anybody can bring code violation to the notice of the observers who would act accordingly on complaints.Returning officer for the parliamentary constituency M Venugopala Reddy said that they had conducted awareness meetings with political parties on code violation.
