Pawan continues tirade against TRS, YSRCP
Vijayawada: The electoral battle is triangular with Jana Sena, TDP and YCP in the fray, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said here on Saturday throwing the gauntlet to the parties in the election battle.
Addressing a mammoth public meeting at Mylavaram and later at Nuzvid, the movie star-turned-politician said that the Jana Sena is also against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu like Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
If KCR wants to give a return gift to Chandrababu Naidu, he should come to Andhra and participate in the election, he said adding that it was not proper to wage a proxy war by giving support to YCP leader Jaganmohan Reddy. Challenging the YSRCP leader to contest alone if he has guts, he said that Jana Sena maintains equidistance to TDP and YCP.
He said that casting vote to YSRCP is casting vote to KCR who has been hurling abuses at Andhra people time and again. "A person who could not safeguard the self-respect of Andhra people has no right to become the Chief Minister of the State," he said.
He also said that the self-respect of Andhra Pradesh will be damaged, if the YSRCP candidate wins in the election. He recalled that the TRS activists attacked the YSRCP chief when he visited Warangal.
Jaganmohan Reddy was conducting meetings for people of backward classes but he never questioned TRS Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao when he deleted several castes from the list of BCs, Pawan said.
He wondered how the TRS leaders could involve in politics in Andhra when they opposed allowing AP leaders in Telangana. He said Jagan had announced list of contesting candidates from TS while the Jana Sena announced its candidates in Amaravati.
Expressing confidence over Jana Sena emerging triumphant, he exuded confidence that the Jana Sena would form government in the State and he would become the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Pawan lambasted the YSRCP leadership for collecting money from its party candidates. He said that his party candidates would face election without spending money. He said that the TDP government neglected the farmers' issues and he would sign the first file to provide pension to farmers.
Later, addressing the meeting at Nuzvid, Pawan Kalyan underlined the importance of making Nuzvid a smart city. "Nuzvid mangoes would find international market by organising international mango festival like for tomatoes in Spain," he said.
Jana Sena Machilipatnam constituency MP candidate P Pulla Rao, Nuzvid constituency MLA candidate B Bhaskar Rao, Mylavaram constituency MLA candidate A Rammohan Rao, Vijayawada West constituency MLA candidate P Venkata Mahesh, East constituency MLA candidate B Ramu, Central constituency CPM candidate Ch Babu Rao and several leaders were present.
