PDSU demands to restrict Amma Vodi to government schools

Ongole: The students from few government schools protested in front of the district collectorate in association with the Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU) on Thursday.

The PDSU state general secretary L Rajasekhar, district president M Dhanraj demanded the government that they should implement the Amma Vodi scheme only to the mothers of government school students.

They demanded the government to bring fees regulation act for the private and corporate schools immediately and shut down unrecognised private schools. They asked the government to shun the idea of allotting mid-day meals programme to Akshaya Patra, but continue with the earlier system.

They demanded the government to implement the right to education act in the state and provide required infrastructure to the government schools.
