Pendurthi Govt High School wins Inter-School Boys Volleyball Tourney
Visakhapatnam: The two-day Inter-School Boys Volleyball Championship Trophy witnessed an encouraging response from 144 students across the city. Hosted by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Public School, over a dozen educational institutions took part in the event that concluded on Saturday. Olympic Association Chairman T S R Prasad, District Cricket Association vice-president D S Varma, District Volley Ball Association joint secretary P Mohan Babu and Principal of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Public School Shimpy Kumari gave away prizes to winners of the tournament and participants received certificates. Speaking on the occasion, P Mohan Babu appreciated the efforts of management in promoting sports and games among students and for providing an opportunity to tap latent talent in the field of sports. While the team of Government High School, Pendurthi, bagged the Winners' trophy, the team of ZP High School, Kanithi bagged the runners–up trophy.
