Perni Nani calls for probe into Chandrababu Naidu-Yes Bank link in Amaravati
Amaravati: Transport, information and public relations minister Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) urged the Central investigation agencies to probe into the transactions between the crisis-hit Yes Bank and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, alleging that the former chief minister might have used the bank for his hawala transactions.
The deposit of Rs1,300 crore of TTD funds was only a tip of the iceberg of his shady deals which ED (Enforcement Directorate) and other agencies should probe deeply, he said at a press conference at party office at Tadepalli on Monday. He said that there was no end to the scams perpetrated by Naidu.
Referring to ongoing investigation into swindling of public money by Yes Bank founder Rana Kapoor, he said TTD funds were deposited in the bank against the set norms at the instance of Naidu and the Centre should order thorough inquiry into the whole affair.
Moreover, Naidu had used Yes Bank to transfer all the money he had accumulated over the past five years, out of the country, he alleged. Naidu had conducted a global summit at New Delhi in collaboration with the Yes Bank and wasted lakhs of rupees to prepare a Tourism Mission document, the minister said.
