PM Narendra Modi to visit Tirumala on June 9

Guntur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Tirumala on June 9, according to BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana. Addressing a press conference held in Guntur city on Saturday, he said, the Prime Minister will perform special pujas to Lord Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala.

Replying to a question, he said the BJP will play a role of Opposition party in the State and fight to solve problems of the people. He said," If the State government requests the Centre, it will take steps to conduct inquiry into the alleged irregularities in execution of project works by the previous TDP government."

He thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking steps to implement the pension scheme for farmers and for extending benefits under the Kisan Yojana Scheme to 14.5 crore farmers in the country.

He further said that the State government has to write a letter to the Central government, if the State wants Centre to construct the Polavaram Project.

He dismissed the reports in a section of the media that the YSRCP will join the NDA. He said, if the TDP senior leaders want to shift their loyalty to the BJP, the core committee of the party will decide it and said, the BJP will concentrate on the local body elections in the State very soon. BJP State vice-president T Nagabushanam and State secretary Talla Venkatesh Yaddav were also present.
