Police arrested DTDC staff for theft in Prakasam district
Ongole: The employees working in an office turned into thieves. This incident came into light at the DTDC office near Enugu Chettu center in Ongole of Prakasam district.
Over the incident, One town CI Bheem Naik has registered a case arrested the accused and produced them in front of media on Monday.
As per police, recently they received a complaint from DTDC office manager Jonnalagadda Srinivas Rao that the parcel items which are supposed to be delivered were stolen which worth Rs 4 lakh.
The police who booked a case has started the investigation by examining the CCTV footage available at the DTDC center. In this context, they found that the staff working at night shift were involved in the missing of the items.
On Sunday, the police have arrested two accused and seized 11 mobile phones, one wireless speaker, one sunglass, one bike horn, and one wristwatch worth of Rs 1.20 lakh. The police lookout is continuing for another accused in the case.
