Police arrests accused in Varshita rape and murder case
Chittoor: Finally, the police have cracked the Varshita rape and murder case in the Chittoor district, which has created sensational in the Telugu states. In the case, the police have identified the accused as Rafi, a lorry driver belongs to Basinikonda and confirmed that he attempted the sexual assault and later murdered the six-year-old girl. The accused was presented before media this afternoon.
Over the orders of CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the police have taken the case seriously and arrested the accused. The investigation revealed that earlier also Rafi had behaved indecently with Varshita.
Six-year-old Varshita was a resident of Guttapalyam village in B Kottakota Mandal of Chittoor district, went to a marriage function along with her parents on November 6 at Kurabala Kota, where she has gone missing.
The parents who searched for her has found the girl's body on Friday morning (November 8) in an isolated place near the function hall. The post-mortem report has declared that the girl was raped and murdered. On the incident, the police formed special teams, carried out the investigation in all angles and arrested the accused.
