Nellore: Police book a case against Somireddy
Nellore: A case has been filed against the former Minister and senior TDP leader Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy in Venkatachalam police station on Tuesday in connection with a land dispute in Idimepalli village in the mandal. The case is related to Yeluru Ranga Reddy whose land has been encroached using forged documents and he subsequently ap-proached the Court. Somireddy has been mentioned in the case as A1 in the FIR. VR Me-ghanathan, AM Jayanthi of Chennai and Ch Subbarayudu who served as Mandal Surveyor were also booked as A2, A3, and A4. Venkatachalam police booked cases under Cr.No.212/2019 u/s 120(b), 471, 468, 447, 427, 379 r/w 34 IPC & Sec.156(3) Cr.P.C.
As mentioned in the FIR, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy had prepared forged documents for the 2.40 acres and also a fake GPA with the assistance of the A4, Mandal Surveyor Sub-barayudu, and got executed a registered sale deed in survey no. 58/3 and the accused A2 and A3-Meghanathan and AM Jayanthi trespassed into the land, ploughed and removed tombs of the ancestors of Ranga Reddy.
