Police constable attempts suicide in front of collectorate in Ananthapur

A constable named Prakash, who was harassed by the higher authorities committed suicide by firing himself at the Ambedkar Center on Friday.

The accident was prevented by the police. While investigating by the police, Prakash alleged that Reserve Inspector Venkataramana was harassing him and that he was being treated unfairly in promotion and increments.

The collector, who was informed of the incident, spoke to Satyanarayana SP and assured the victim that justice would be served.
