Police officials organise awareness meet to prevent road accidents in Chittoor

Chittoor: As per the directions of SP S Senthil Kumar, an awareness meeting was held at Nagaiah Kalakshetram here on Sunday. Precautions to be taken to avoid deaths in road accidents were also given at the meeting.

DSP K Eswara Reddy said the programme was held to mark World Day for remembering those who lost their lives in road accidents. ``In majority of road accident cases, the victims die due to rash driving. One should always be careful towards his life as the families will be in trouble due to the deaths in road mishaps,'' he said.

He reiterated that the two-wheelers should compulsorily wear helmets. Additional SP K Krishnarjuna Rao, Deputy Transport Commissioner M Basi Reddy, Chittoor Traffic DSP Giridhar and others were present.
