Political claims on Kia cars

Amaravati: In a discomfort development for the YSRCP government in the wake of the first car released by the Kia Motors India, which commences mass production of the Seltos from Anantapur manufacturing unit on Thursday, the negligence particularly the TDP supporters have thanked former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his efforts in bringing the company to the state.

The social media users have created a hashtag #ThankYouCBNForKia on Twitter and started tweeting on it.

On the other hand, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was supposed to attend the first car launching programme at the Kia plant did not attend due to various reasons. Though, the office of the Chief Minister informed that he was changed the schedule as he had to attend the flood areas in the Godavari districts, the TDP followers on the social media and the political leaders have been blaming that Chief Minister wanted to skip the programme.

In fact, the TDP president Chandrababu Naidu gave the highest priority to establishing the Kia motors, construction of capital city Amaravati and Polavaram irrigation project in his throughout the election campaign. Now, the state government has been finding faults with the Chandrababu Naidu in Amaravati and Polavaram and Jagan already constituted an expert committee to probe into that matters.

It is worth mentioning here that, as committed, the Kia Motors, the world's 8th largest automaker has brought the first car for delivery within the time frame. At this juncture, they invited Jagan for the inauguration. But, Chief Minister sent his cabinet colleagues to the programme on behalf of him.
