Political parties allegations will demoralise the police forces: AP IPS Association

Ever since the YSRCP government headed by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy came into power, the opposition parties relentlessly spewing the venom on the police department alleging them to be supporting the ruling party. Earlier, it was Varla Ramaiah who made furious comments on police, and later he became calm after filing the case against him for verbal abuses on police.

In the latest development, the former chief minister Chandrababu had visited Amaravati a week back where he received a backlash from the farmers of the capital by pelting stones and chappals at Naidu's convoy. Off late, the TDP leaders had complained to the governor on the negligence of police in protecting rights of the opposition leader.

However, the police who got hurt with the latest development as come hard at these complains and released a notice in the name of IPS association saying that it is wrong to attribute motives to the police. The Andhra Pradesh police condemned the statements and which demoralises the police force and undermine the police service.

The IPS association have appealed to all political parties to be restraint at their public utterances, which needlessly dent the police image and adversely impact the discharge of its duties and responsibilities.
