Visakhapatnam: People got a huge relief from the sound pollution created by the parties with the month-long election campaign concluded on Tuesday. Rallies, community-wise meetings, road shows, street plays, musical bands, songs and slogans from sound systems with huge watts of high-voltage power have concluded with the main parties gearing up for poll management and started door-to-door campaigning to woo the voters.

In the no holds barred campaign, the star campaigners from the four main political parties leveled allegations and counter-allegations against each other. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP Chief Amit Shah, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamatha Banerjee and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal visited the city and made the Visakhapatnam is one of the hottest cities in the country.

During the month-long programme, heavy weights from TDP N Chandrababu Naidu, cine hero and MLA N Balakrishna, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamatha Banerjee, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and several others rushed to the Port city and took part in the campaign. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu visited the district 6 times and almost covered the entire district.

Reacting spontaneously Chandrababu Naidu announced several sops to the people. Claiming his government's development and welfare programmes, Naidu urged the voters to give mandate considering him as an elder brother of their family. Taking a dig at Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the TDP supremo rained challenges during his election campaign.

YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, celebrities from glamour world Mohanbabu, Puri Jagannath, Ali Prithviraj, party star campaigner Y S Sharmila and several others covered all the assembly segments in the segments. The star campaigners paid their maximum efforts to explain about the TDP failures and other issues during the campaign. The party highly propagated its "Navaratnalu" programmes and urged the voters to give one chance to Jagan.

Power Star and Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan, who is contesting from Gajuwaka Assembly constituency came to Visakhapatnam 5 times and alleged that the both TDP and YSRCP failed to develop the state. Not leaving Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao, the JSP chief addressed the gathering with his style of provoking speech.

Though, the party has expected that some of the influenced persons from the tollywood would join the campaign but in vain. Besides, Pawan Kalyan, CBI former Joint Director and Visakhapatnam MP contestant V V Lakshminarayana is only centre of attraction in the party.
