Polling delayed at many places as EVMs struck including Kuppam, Mangalagiri

Amaravati: Due to the technical problem in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) the polling process is delayed in some places including Kuppam and Mangalagiri.

From Kuppam Assembly constituency, the TDP chief and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is contesting as MLA candidate. It's interesting to know that CM Naidu is winning continuously from this seat from three decades.

CMs son, IT minister Nara Lokesh is contesting the elections for the first time as TDP MLA candidate from Mangalagiri.

It's said that the polling was delayed for more than one hour in 36 Assembly constituencies including in Vijayawada, Tadikonda, Eluru, Nuzividu, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Kovvuru, Nellore, Ponnur, Parchuru, Pedakurapadu, Pamuru, Yerrgondapalem, Singanamala, Kalyanadurgam, Uravakonda, Guntakal, Tadipatri, Jammalamadugu and other constituencies.

CM Chandrababu Naidu has expressed displeasure over malfunctioning of EVMs and asked the EC to extend the polling time because of the technical issue in EVMs.
