Postal stamp on Mahatma Gandhi released in Amalapuram

Amalapuram: Minister for Social Welfare Pinepe Vishwaroop along with MP Chintha Anuradha and Visakhapatnam postal region Post-Master General M Venkateswarlu released a postal stamp with the photo of a boat photo here on Tuesday.

The postal stamp was released in remembrance of Mahatma Gandhi ferried Vyneta river and stayed for two days in the house of Ponnada Hanmantha Rao who came to participate in a meeting at Bodasakurru.

Later, Minister Pinepe Viswaroop lamented that the present generation were unaware of what Mahatma Gandhi did for our country. The youth were spending more time using mobile phones and not aware of the great things accomplished by great leaders like Gandhiji, Balagangadhara Tilak, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Jawaharlal Nehru, etc.

Addiction to modern gadgets was harmful to the health of small children, he added. He congratulated Post-Master General M Venkateswalu for making the stamp.
