Potti Sriramulu's sacrifice led to AP formation: Minister Vellampalli

Vijayawada: Minister for Endowments Vellampalli Srinivas said that because of sacrifices of 'Amarajeevi' Potti Sriramulu, separate state for Telugu speaking people was formed.

He paid floral tributes to Potti Sriramulu at Samarangam Chowk here to mark state formation day on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, the minister recalled that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy promised the people of Andhra Pradesh at the time of Padayatra to celebrate November 1 as AP formation day. As per the word given to the people, AP Formation Day is being celebrated across the state in a grand way.

He said that paying floral tributes to the great leader Potti Sriramulu is the responsibility of everyone in AP and he was an inspiration to the coming generations. Sweets, books and biscuits were distributed on the occasion.
