Praja Science Vedika opposes compulsory enrolment of polytechnic students in MSMEs
Anantapur: Praja Science Vedika (PSV) , has in a press statement demanded the AP Commissionerate of Higher Education to withdraw its circular making it mandatory for students of polytechnics to enrol in MSME's. Instead, the vedika suggested that the students can enrol for the national programme on technology enhancement learning, and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship courses which are extensively available online.
AP Commissionerate of Higher Education has sent a circular to all Polytechnic colleges making it mandatory the Industrial and apprenticeship training to all third-year fifth-semester students. July third is the deadline to send the student particulars and industry particulars. Under the obscure conditions, parents are refusing to send their children to colleges. Polytechnic Principals are urging the students to send the industry particulars. As part of the three years Course, Course content / Curriculum Industrial training is mandatory in any registered industry or MSME. Hardly very few industries are running with skeletal staff.
Moreover, due to non-availability of transportation, labour and due to hike in electricity and fuel prices, several industries are not functioning. Commissioner should withdraw the circular and direct the principals to suggest the students enrol for the National programme on technology enhancement learning and the Ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship courses which are extensively available online.
