Prakasam district: Will break motors fixed to farm pumpsets says Nara Lokesh
Parchuru (Prakasam district): TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh announced that the party workers would break the electricity motors proposed to be fixed to agriculture pump-sets. He toured Bapatla and Parchuru Assembly constituencies along with the party Bapatla parliamentary constituency committee president Yeluri Sambasiva Rao, and interacted with the farmers on Saturday.
He later inspected the damaged paddy, chilli, and other crops at a few villages. He said that the government was going ahead with the fixing of the meters to farm motors without considering the objections of the farmers. He announced that the government would face severe opposition from the farmers and the TDP would break those meters in no time. He said that they would start an agitation with the farmers and fight until the government is thrown out of power.
Lokesh assured all support from the TDP to the farmers affected by the cyclone. He criticised Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy just doing an aerial survey when crops suffered a huge damage. He said Jagan made obscene remarks against the TDP for demanding help to the farmers.
Lokesh alleged that the government announced to spend Rs 3000 crores for agriculture but spent only Rs 300 crores. The government is making false claims that it will support the tenant farmers through the Rythu Bharosa programme when the TDP demanded help to the 15 lakh tenant farmers.
