Priority for Muslim welfare: CM assures to increase Dulhan scheme amount to Rs one lakh

Kadapa: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the TDP govt has been implementing several programmes to protect the interests of Muslims.

Addressing a road show here today as part of an election campaign, the Chief Minister said the amount under Dulhan scheme would be increased to Rs one lakh from the existing Rs 50000. He said the amount to be sanctioned for Muslim youth under foreign education scheme would be increased from existing Rs 10 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. He said Haj houses would be constructed in Kurnool and Amaravati.

The Chief Minister said that honorarium to be paid to Imams would be increased to Rs 10,000 from existing Rs 5000 and Mouzams Rs 5000 from existing Rs 3000. Urdu officer would be appointed in all departments.

The Chief Minister said that the Almaspet centre in Kadapa would be developed and renamed as Tippu Sultan Chowrasta.
