Protest against attacks on cadre: TDP Chalo Atmakuru on Sept 11

Vijayawada: TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu gave a 'Chalo Atmakuru' call on September 11 for protection of human rights in the Palnadu area in Guntur district.

Speaking over a teleconference with TDP activists on Sunday, he asked the party workers and leaders to participate in a large-scale in the agitation to show the strength of TDP and also to protest against the attacks on TDP activists by YSR Congress workers.

He said that the TDP would bring the party workers, who were sent out of the villages to the native places. All the victims would be brought to their villages by engaging special buses along with the TDP's convoy, he said.

He challenged the State government to file cases against the TDP leaders. "I will be the first person to face the police cases. The government should book police cases on me if they have guts," he said.

The TDP would answer every case of police which is being booked against the party workers. The TDP is a system and the party cadre should showcase it through Chalo Atmakuru. The TDP should also lodge a complaint with the Human Rights Commission, he said.

He also suggested that the TDP legal cell leaders convene a meeting in Guntur city on September 10. The advocates should discuss and take a decision on the future course of action to save the democracy, he said. He asked the TDP sympathisers and party workers to be brave as the party would stand behind them.

There is no need to worry about the false cases being filed by the YSR Congress government, he said. The TDP would not allow rowdy politics, he said. He wondered as to how the Chief Minister would protect the law and order in the State when he could not punish the accused in YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case.
