PSLV-C47 Mission: ISRO to launch CARTOSAT-3 and 13 US satellites on Wednesday

The PSLV C47, which carries fourteen satellites including CARTOSAT-3, will be launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center (SHAR) at 9.28 am on Wednesday. ISRO scientists officially decided at the Mission Readiness Review (MRR) held at the Brahmaprakash Hall on Monday.

Under the chairmanship of the MRR Committee, BN Suresh announced on Monday that the rocket was undergoing all kinds of tests and was ready for the launch. The launch work was handed over to the Launch Authorization Board.

The board, headed by chairman Armugam Rajarajan, decided to start the countdown at 7.28 am on Tuesday, which is 26 hours before the launch. The PSLV C47 is preparing to send another bulletin satellite, the US 12 Flock-4P, and the mesh bed, the eighth satellite in the Cartosat-3 series, which weighs 714 kg. This is the 74th launch from SHAR.

As many as Five thousand people selected will be able to watch live at Sriharikota.
