Pulivendula to be developed as role model town

Kadapa: Commissioner for Municipal Administration & Urban Development Vijaykumar said that Chief Minister is keen on developing Pulivendula as role model town in the country.

After state government declared Pulivendula as model town, MAUD Commissioner Vijaykumar along with Collector Ch Harikiran, Joint Collector (development) Saikanth Varma and Trainee Collector Vikas Marmat inspected various places in Pulivendula town on Tuesday.

Addressing a press conference, MAUD Commissioner said that they have inspected several proposals relating to development of Pulivendula. He said that the town will be developed as educational hub. Medical, Engineering, Veterinary and Agriculture colleges will be established under Pulivendula Area Development Authority (PADA).

Several recreational projects like botanical gardens, parks and conventional centres will be developed besides greenery to maintain ecological balance. He said that Pulivendula town is having vast stretches of lands for establishing various projects.

District Collector Ch Harikiran said that in the recent meeting organised by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy over PADA, MAUD, planning departments officials came to Pulivendula and they are prepared to spent funds for the purpose.
