Pulivendula to get facelift says CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy

Amaravati: Formalities for the construction of lift irrigation scheme from Chitravati balancing reservoir to Yerraballi from Giddangivaripalle stream and the UCIL-affected seven villages in Pullivendula constituency in Kadapa district should be completed at the earliest, said Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

He was speaking at the meeting of the Pulivendula Development Authority with the district officials here on Thursday.

The officials informed about the progress of the work on the Pulivendula Medical College. The tenders for the college construction would be called for in August and the work completed very soon, said the officials when the Chief Minister said the medical college has to be started by the end of this year.

The Chief Minister asked the officials about the progress of work on the GNSS main canal and directed them to ground the works by finishing calling of tenders as soon as possible.

He directed them to make efforts to complete the pending works of underground drainage scheme, mini-secretariat, construction of godowns, Pulivendula area hospital, Vempalli CHC construction and the expansion of roads soon.

The Chief Minister also directed the officials to start processing and storage units for banana crop in Kadapa and Anantapur districts.

The officials explained the progress of the construction of skill development centre at Pulivendula, degree college at Vempalli and Urdu junior college.

Funds worth Rs 2.71 crore were allocated for the construction of Vempalli BC hostel, Autonagar at Pulivendula, said the officials.

They also said detailed the progress of Idupulapalya tourism circuit and YSR memorial garden development works.
