Pulmonology department inaugurated at Harini Hospital

Vijayawada: A new pulmonology department was inaugurated at Harini Hospital with international standards, said the hospital chairman and managing director Dr N Tirumala Rao here on Sunday.

Addressing the media, Dr Tirumala Rao said that the pulmonology services was started in the hospital with doctors with vast experience and latest and advanced equipment. He said that E-Bus Endo-bronchial ultrasound equipment was made available for first time in the city which would help detect cancer and tuberculosis in the initial stages.

He said that if the disease is identified in the initial stages, it would enable the doctor to treat the patient easily. Dr Tirumala Rao said that Thoracoscopy and rigid Bronchoscopy services are also available at the hospital apart from treatment for patients suffering from sleep disorder and sleeplessness.

Dr SV Sivaprasad Reddy said that patients need not go to any other major cities for breathing related problems henceforth as all services are available in the hospital. Dr Anusha, Dr K Srinivas, Dr SW Sagar and others were present on the occasion.
