Pushkara Vanam to be developed into tourist spot in Rajamahendravaram

Rajamahendravaram: Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) Prateep Kumar has said that Godavari Maha Pushkara Vanam will be developed on all fronts and will be made as a tourist spot. It came into existence during the Godavari Maha Pushkaralu-2015.

After inspecting Pushkara Vanam here on Tuesday, he said that research work was going on some variety of plants and developing them. Some more facilities are providing in the vanam in addition to the existing facilities as the number of visitors to the vanam are increasing. An open gym will also come up with an estimated cost of Rs 8 lakh in the vanam and it is a plastic-free area.

He also inaugurated RO plant and audiovisual room and released various posters relating to the department.

Forest Department officials N Nageswara Rao, Nandana Salaria, Appanna, RM Rammohan Rao, MV Prasad Rao, Ravinder, L Dhaniraju and J Sujatha were present.
