Raghurama Krishnam Raju writes SEC to hold AP local body elections with immediate effect

YSRCP rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju wrote a letter to the Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission. He demanded that local body elections in the state be held immediately and asked to release the notification without any delay. Raghurama mentioned in the letter that the influence of the coronavirus has been diminished and that elections are also being held in the neighbouring states. He expressed anguish over the government in the past questioningvwhy can't elections be held when it started the schools, would postpone the election by naming Corona.

Controversy is raging over the conduct of local body elections in the AP. War is going on between Jagan government and SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh with Election Commission's decision to hold panchayat elections in February. The controversy was further exacerbated when Chief Secretary Nilam Sawhney wrote a letter as a counter. Meanwhile, SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar is all set to hold a video conference with all district authorities on local body elections on Wednesday.

CS Neelam Sahni wrote a letter to Nimmagadda on Tuesday night in this regard. The letter said the corona was not yet in control in the state. She said there are still active cases in rural areas. Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar gave a strong counter to the latest letter written by Sawhney. He sent a strong message asking how could they question the Election Commission's discretion.
