Railways to run new trains to Delhi, Secunderabadbad from Vizag
Visakhapatnam: In addition to the services of Shramik special trains, Indian Railways has announced to run 200 new time tabled trains from Monday. While special trains will operate through Waltair Division of East Coast Railway jurisdiction, few trains will originate from Visakhapatnam to various destinations.
Trains including AP express special from Visakhapatnam to New Delhi and Godavari express special between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam will originate from Vizag. Konark special express between Bhubaneswar and Mumbai, Falaknuma special express between Howrah and Secunderabad will pass through Visakhapatnam.
The AP special express (train no 02805) will run from Visakhapatnam to New Delhi with effect from Monday. From New Delhi to Visakhapatnam (train no 02806) will run from June 3. Similarly, the Godavari special express (train no 02728) will run from Hyderabad to Visakhapatnam with effect from Monday. From Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad (train no 02727) special train will run from June 2.
In order to check the health condition of passengers, entry (Platform No:8, Gnanapuram gate) and exit (Platform:1) points at railway station are restricted and passengers are allowed to board the train after thorough checkup.
RAC and waiting list tickets can be generated in these trains but, after preparation of final chart, only confirmed ticket passengers will be allowed to board the train. Passengers are advised to report to the station two hours before the scheduled departure of the train. Social distancing should be followed both at the station and on the trains.
In addition, commuters are advised to carry their own food during the journey. No blanket and linen will be provided in train. Only passenger with confirmed tickets shall be allowed to enter railway station. All passengers must wear face cover/masks while entering the railway station and during the travel.
