Amaravati: The quality of buildings in the Andhra Pradesh capital, Amaravati, has once again been exposed. The temporary High Court building at Nallapadu in Thullur Mandal was slightly demolished due to the rain on Wednesday. The Sherwal technology building, which cost around Rs 150 crore, has been widely criticized for inefficiency of the building. About four and a half acres, the previous TDP government built a temporary high court (GC) in the G2 system.

Rainwater entered into the ground floor. Officers initially called tenders with an estimate of Rs. 98 crore and then called for another Rs 56 crore in the name of infrastructure. All this amount reportedly used for interior, main buildings, lifts, infrastructure, traffic, access roads, internal roads, parking, sewerage system.

In March this year, two rooms in a six-storey slab at the High Court collapsed and four workers were injured. The YS Jaganmohan Reddy's Chamber has swept away in the Assembly due to rains in 2017 while the former ministers Amarnath Reddy and Devineni Uma chambers in the secretariat have been hit by the rains. The YSRCP alleges that the TDP leaders spent money like water which cannot stand even for the slightest rains.
