Rains lash Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam: Rain lashed several parts of Visakhapatnam district on Sunday. Various stretches of roads and neigbourhoods were submerged due to continuous rain since morning.
A cyclonic circulation lies over north-west Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood, extending up to 7.6 km tilting south-westwards with height.
Under its influence, the Cyclone Warning Centre officials say that low-pressure is likely to form during the next three days.
In the next 24 hours, rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in places across the Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Coastal Andhra, according to Sudha Valli, duty officer, CWC.
Strong surface winds from westerly direction, speed reaching to 45-50 kmph likely along and off coastal Andhra Pradesh. State of sea would be rough to very rough. Hence, fishermen are advised not to venture into sea for the next 24 hours.
