Rainwater inundates low-lying areas in Guntur

Guntur: Rainwater inundated several low-lying areas in Guntur city on Tuesday and caused inconvenience to the people. Rainwater stranded on the road at Lakshmipuram Centre, Naaz Centre, AL Pet flyover bridge, fruit market near GMC office, Tahsildar office area in AL Pet, AT Agraharam, RK Puram and caused inconvenience to the pedestrians and two wheeler riders.

In the Ramakrishnapuram, AT Agraharam and Chuttugunta areas, potholes on the road filled up with the rainwater causing inconvenience to the public. Though roads dug for laying of pipelines for underground drainage scheme, they were not properly filled after laying the pipelines.
