Rajahmundry: Township for 42,000 people, announces MP Margani Bharat Ram
Rajahmundry: MP Margani Bharat Ram has said that the government is planning to bring a township for42,000 poor people between Burugupaudi and Kanavaram villages of Rajmahendravaram rural areas.
Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, he said the government acquiredas many as 650 acres of land in this regard in Burugupudi, Velugubanda and Kanavaram villageswhich are suitable for construction of houses.
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is very much particular to distribute house sites to 30lakh beneficiaries on July 8th in the state and construction of houses also be commenced inthe firstleg of August.
Civil engineering professors G Abbu and V Srinivas of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University of Kakinada are conducting hydrological and topography survey in the acquired lands. The lands which were not surveyed after 1935 called as Avva lands and they were not marooned lands.
The houses constructed during TDP period not yet handed over to the beneficiaries though they were selected and TDP government not even provided basic facilities at the houses. TDP and other parties are alleging that Avva lands were submerged lands which was not correct, he added.
He said TDP rural MLA Gorntla Buchaiah Choudary had no right to comment on Avva lands as he failed to handover the lands given to people in Dowleswaram.
Rajanagaram MLA Jakkampudi Raja said Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy came with a noble thought to distribute lands to everyone in the state. But, TDP and other parties are making baseless allegations on the government about the lands.
The MLA questioned Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan why did he failed to question former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for his misdeeds. Why PawanKalyan was mum when TDP government harassed Mudragada Padmanabham's family, he questioned.
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy waived allcases foisted against Kapus in the state and also recommended to central government to waive cases filed against Kapus regard to Tuni rail incident.
The people are not trusting former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, he averred. Parliamentary Constituency in-charge Moshes Raju and others were present.
