Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) Vice-chancellor Prof Mokka Jagannadha Rao has said that everyone should take proper medicines to avoid spreading of the Coronavirus which has become a pandemic and is creating panic among several countries in the world.

Addressing an awareness meeting held on Coronavirus held at the campus here on Friday, he said that the State government was taking many steps to combat the problem but at the same time, people should also take necessary precautions in this regard. The university is taking necessary steps to bring awareness among the students in this regard. He asked them to take precautions as advised by the doctors.

Dr Ramesh Kishore said out of 1.5 lakh Coronavirus victims about 4,000 died across the world so far. It is the duty of everyone to take care in this regard. Foreigners are also now offering Namaskarams, the traditional Indian way of greeting people, instead of shaking hands to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. Special wards were arranged in Tuni and Rajamahendravaram hospitals along with an ambulance, he informed.

Dr Ramanjaneyulu, Registrar Prof B Ganga Ram and others were present.
