Rajamahendravaram: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) judge KVL Hima Bindu has underlined the need to conduct awareness programme for women and children to know their rights.

Inaugurating Bhumika Women Collective's office at Devi Chowk here on Tuesday, she said that the organisation is in the service of women and children for 25 years and arranged helpline with the numbers of 1800, 425 and 2908.

The organisation started its support centre in Rajamahendravaram in the year 2017 and extending service to women and children relentlessly, she said. Every child should avail their rights and the organisation is addressing the problems of women and children who approached it. She underlined the need to bring awareness among women on how to combat sexual harassment etc.

She complimented Bhumika Women Collective for conducting awareness programmes for women and children in Sitampeta, Annapurnammapeta and Quarry centre in the city and assured to extend her help to the organisation.

Project director Prasanthi, Satyavathi, assistant project director Vijaya, CWC chairperson Padmavathi and others were present.
