Rajamahendravaram: BJP stages dharna over non-availability of sand

Rajamahendravaram: BJP senior leader and MLC Somu Veerraju demanded that the government make available sand to the public with a simple policy in place of existing complex policy. Veerraju and BJP leaders staged a protest against the government about the sand policy at Bommuru village on Friday.

Speaking to the media, Veerraju said that it was shameful on the part of the government that sand is not available even in sand reach points. Veerraju heckled the government for its claim that stock would be kept ready for the rainy season. He demanded that the government make sand available for the poor. He said that the sand system in the state is causing great trouble for the common man.

BJP leaders S Radha Krishna, S Gopinat Das, K Lakshminarayana, B Dattu and others were present.
