Rajamahendravaram: Centre for Vedic Studies to be set up at AKNU

Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) Vice-chancellor Prof Mokka Jagannadha Rao has said that the Centre for Vedic Studies (CVS) will be started soon at the University.

Speaking to 'The Hans India', here on Monday, he said that when he met Ajay Kallam, Advisor to Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, he advised him to start a centre for Vedic studies which was the need of the hour to apprise the people of our rich ancient Vedic culture.

As the University was named after the great poet Adikavi Nannaya, it is right move, he added.

Ajay Kallam also advised the Vice-chancellor to enhance teaching standards and uphold the values of AKNU the largest University in the State.

The Vice-Chancellor said that he assured him to develop the University on all fronts and also introduce need based courses and work with commitment and with a vision.
