Devotees taking holy dip in River Godavari at Pushkar Ghat in Rajamahendravaram on Monday

Rajamahendravaram: Covid-19 pandemic has shown its effect on the first Monday of auspicious KarthikaMasam as there was no rush at bathing ghats to take holy dip in River Godavari and Shivate temples are also seen with less devotees.

No queuelines seen at the temples and there is no ruckus of police at the temples. There is no rush on Godavari bund where many Shivate temples located.

Though the temple managements arranged for Darshan expecting devotee rush. The temple staff allowed the devoteesfor Darshan after thermal screening and wearing masks.

Uma Markandeya Swamy temple, Visweswara Swamy temple, Uma KotilingeswaraSwamy temple, Sarangadhareswara Swamy temple, Agasteswara Swamy templeetc wore a deserted look.

Meanwhile, Bhimeswara Swamy temple at Draksharama, Chalukya KumaraRama Bhimeswara Swamy temple at Samalkot, Veereswara Swamy temple atMuramalla and Baneswara Swamy temple at Banapuram etc also experiencedthe same situation. The priests did not offerTirdham, Satari and Prasadam etc to the devotees due to coronavirus.
