Rajamahendravaram: YSRCP leader and former MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana has released the Saarvari Naama Panchangam (Almanac) both English and Telugu versions at the Press Club here on Thursday, penned by noted astrologer Chilakamarthi Prabhakar Chakravarthi Sharma.

Later, he said Sharma was the first person in the world who is writing an almanac in English for nine years and received laurels from all quarters along with towering personalities of various sectors across the country. Telugu version of almanac is useful to Telugu speaking people but English version is useful to all across the world, he said and advised Sharma to continue his endeavour to write almanac in English in future also and appreciated his task in this regard.

Kesavabhatla Charitable Trust president Kesavabhatla Srinivasa Rao, noted literary critic Yerrapragada Ramakrishna and BJP leader Kante Veeranna Choudary said Prabhakar Sharma mastered in astrology and studied Shastra Kovidam Jyothishya Kovida and Vidya Bhushan from Sanskrit School of Bhadrachalam Devastanam. Sarma is pride to the historical city and asked him to pen more books in future also.

Prabhakar Sharma said the book gives complete details of Tidhi, vaara, Nakshtra, Yoga and Karna of Panchangam which also covered important aspects of muhurtams. Anyone can fix muhurthams by going through this book, he added.

The alamanc was written basing on Chandra Maana calculations and Drik Siddantham.

He said 'Saarvari' which means 'giving good yield' and this year will give good results to the people in all spheres, he averred.

Sripada Vyagreshwara Sharma and others were present on the occasion.
