Rajamahendravaram: EG to get two ESI hospitals
Rajamahendravaram: Member of Parliament Margani Bharat Ram said that two ESI hospitals are coming up in Rajamahendravaram and Gopalapuram shortly. Union Minister for Labour and Employment Santosh Kumar Gangwar will lay foundations for the ESI hospitals in January, he said.
Speaking to reporters at his office here on Thursday, he said an amount of Rs 99 crore was sanctioned for the construction of 100-bed hospital with 32 staff quarters in Rajamahendravaram. The construction of the hospital will be completed in two years. Land was also identified for the proposed ESI hospital in Gopalapuram and construction works will commence in February for the two hospitals.
A medical college is also coming up in 12 acres of central prison land, he said and informed that he had requested Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to lay foundation stone for the college. An amount of Rs 70 lakh also sanctioned for construction of fourth and fifth platforms in the town railway station to ease the movement of train traffic. Two escalators will also come up in the town railway station along with other facilities, he said.
He further said that an amount of Rs 136 crore was sanctioned under NRCDP to undertake Godavari cleaning work. Gammon India Bridge will be named after former Chief Minister Dr YS Raja Shekar Reddy, he said. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders were not able to digest the welfare schemes of Chief Minister and are making baseless allegations to get political mileage, he criticised.
He warned that the people are watching the attitude of the TDP and are ready to teach a lesson to it.
